I have a GSM remote switch ELEKTOR #080324-71 assembled and connected to a T68i SONY ERICSSON phone using its original data cable and to a GARMIN GPS.
The green D5 led is blinking initially on power up for few seconds and then is steady ON for good GPS data. During GSM incoming calls this led is NOT blinking again and the switch not responding to both call recognition modes. During some ringing setting changes on T68, I observed the relays on the remote switch to be activated!!
Can I be advised please, if:
- The initial on power up D5 led blinking is an indication of correct data exchange between T68 and the onboard ATmega8-16PU?
- For the particular remote switch design an incoming call should start D5 led blinking shortly again? No any such details on ELEKTOR magazine related article…
- What pulse voltage levels have I to expect on test pins P5 and P8 during incoming GSM calls?
Thanks in advance…
Costas

D5 is blinking only on power-on
The levels are RS232 or TTL

Thanks for info, Florian.
I will then try to find SIEMENS C55 or S35 phones for my GSM-RS...
By the way, I can send messages in english ONLY from the German page of forum.
