Hallo,
First post, and my apologies its in English.
Background I have a 2006 VW T5 with a generic Elm 327 OBD2 USB interface. This connects to Dashcommand, and it reports an ISO-14230 protocol connection. It works, but only displays engine revs, speed and coolant temperature.
ISO-14230 /KWP2000 uses pin 7 of the OBD2 port I understand for K-line. I also understand VW use a version of KWP2000 - KWP2089. The generic Elm 327 cannot read KWP2089, so I'm looking for a better interface.
VW T5 2006 - WBH BT5 - Dashcommand - Solution? So, my question: Is a WBH BT5 the solution?
If it is, I understand it needs to be ELM 327 compatible and report on the expanded (KWP2089) protocol.
I would be very grateful if anyone can offer their advice before I make the purchase.
Many thanks, Danke,
Tony (UK)
